Resolutions passed by the Board include: the appointment of Thomas Jefferson Randolph to the Executive Committee; the appointment of Gessner Harrison as Professor of Antient [sic] Languages; installation of iron railings over the gymnasia; the appointment of a committee to study the School of Modern Languages; directing additions to Professor Tucker's Pavilion; authorizing payment of James Oldham's bills; repealing a section of the code on student uniforms; creating the office of Assistant Proctor and reducing the salary of the Proctor; commending the Chairman and Faculty for their handling of the epidemic; remitting three months rent to the hotelkeepers.
